Our professional association memberships reflect the communities we serve and the standards we hold ourselves to. These are not marketing affiliations — they represent active participation in the professional and advocacy organizations that shape communication access, interpreting, translation, and Deaf community services. Below is a list of the associations AccessBridge is proud to be part of, and why each one matters to how we work.
RID
The Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf is the national professional association establishing certification standards, a Code of Professional Conduct, and ongoing continuing education requirements for sign language interpreters in the United States. RID certification is the credential the Deaf community recognizes and that courts, school districts, healthcare systems, and government agencies require or strongly prefer for ASL interpreting assignments.
AccessBridge prioritizes RID-certified interpreters for all ASL assignments. Our membership in RID reflects our commitment to the professional standard that protects the rights of Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals to accurate, ethical, and qualified interpretation.


NAD
The National Association of the Deaf is the nation’s premier civil rights organization of, by, and for Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. Founded in 1880, NAD advocates for the full and equal participation of Deaf and hard-of-hearing people in all aspects of American life — including access to communication, education, employment, legal proceedings, and healthcare.
AccessBridge holds organizational membership with NAD in recognition that our work exists within a broader civil rights framework — not simply a service industry. The access services we provide are the practical implementation of the rights NAD and its members have advocated for and won. Membership signals our organizational commitment to that framework and to the community whose rights we are in the business of supporting.
NAETISL
The National Association of Educational Translators and Interpreters of Spoken Languages promotes professional standards, certification, and ethical practice in educational interpreting and translation. For AccessBridge, where education represents a core service sector, NAETISL membership reflects our alignment with the professional infrastructure — credentialing, ethics, and practice standards — that protects students and families who depend on qualified language access in school settings.


AAITE
The American Association of Interpreters and Translators in Education supports educational linguistic professionals with resources, training, and advocacy. Education is one of our primary service sectors — IEP meetings, student assessments, classroom interpreting, and family engagement all require interpreters and translators with specific subject-matter competence in educational settings. AAITE membership keeps us connected to the professional development and standards work that defines quality in educational interpreting and translation.
ATA
The American Translators Association is the largest professional association for translators and interpreters in the United States, providing professional development, networking, and advocacy for the language services profession. AccessBridge’s translation services operate within the professional and ethical framework the ATA represents — including commitment to accuracy, subject-matter competence, and the ongoing development of our translator and post-editor network.


ALC
The Association of Language Companies represents language service organizations at the business and policy level — providing advocacy, best practice frameworks, and professional development for companies operating in the interpreting and translation industry. AccessBridge’s membership in ALC connects us to the operational and business standards that define professional language service provision, and keeps us informed of industry trends, technology developments, and policy changes affecting the sector.
GALA
GALA Global supports the language industry with training, events, and resources connected to globalization, localization, and translation. For AccessBridge’s translation service line — where we manage multilingual document production for legal, education, healthcare, and nonprofit clients — GALA membership provides access to the technology, workflow, and localization standards that keep our translation practice current and competitive.
